In Episode 27, Carmen Brandy talks about her musical journey and so much more!
Carmen Brandy is a singer songwriter in Nashville, TN. Carmen was born in Florida where she developed a deep yearning to sing and create music! In 2015, she was accepted into a life changing program called the “GPS Project” by ASCAP where she participated in a year long program where she met with 12 music industry publishers like Sony ATV, Warner Chappell, and Universal Music Group. The program grew her not only as an artist and writer, but as a human as well. She learned that the music industry was incredible, but had a lot of baggage that came with it. Carmen continued to be mentored by many amazing people on Music Row, where she truly learned the craft of writing and communicating.
I really enjoyed the interview with Carmen. Being willing to share your story like Carmen did is not easy, but it is very impactful. I think people are beginning to realize the quicker they reach out for help and are willing to be transparent about their struggles, the better off they will be and more than likely they will be helping others in the process. I know you will get a lot out of this interview and if it does not speak to you personally, it will help give you insight and understanding into what others around you might be dealing with and working through.
