In Episode 25, Ted Yoder shares his story and it includes a lot of wisdom.
Ted Yoder’s hammered dulcimer cover of Tears for Fears’ “Everybody Wants to Rule the World” became one of the most-watched Facebook Live posts in 2016 when the song received more than 101 million views from music fans around the world.
Ted talks with me about an experience in his teen years that had a huge impact on his life. He shares how his parents unconditional love helped him flourish and the peace of knowing there was alway a place for him in their home after he graduated. He shares a time when his life was turned upside down literally and how that changed his life. We had such a great time hanging out at the park.
The Hammered Dulcimer fit perfectly in the Rambler while he played a few songs.

Hello Andrew,
I just listened to the podcast (my 1st podcast to listen to) with Ted Yoder and I must say it was quite enjoyable. It was also very touching that brought tears when he talked about his early church years. I can relate to that. I live in Rio Rancho, NM and I had Ted come out here for a neighborhood bbq party about 2 years ago. He is quite a special guy. Everyone here loved him. I am hoping to get him back here for another gig but he seems to be a busy guy these days. Anyway, just wanted to say keep doing what you are doing. It’s your gift in life.
Blessings

Hi Andrew, I really enjoyed your conversation with Ted Yoder. He’s a lovely guy and a very accomplished musician. I think I came to know about him when the Tears for Fears song came out on social media and have pretty much followed him since.
It was interesting to hear more about Ted when he spoke of his childhood and how religion really messed up his life. Its not really the religion but the people who take it upon themselves to control and abuse their position that so often harms the parishioners.
Enough about that, I’m glad Ted found such support through the words of a family friend.
I love it when Ted plays in the orchard with Donna and the children including the fur babies and other creatures, lol….So authentic, it’s wonderful.
Thank you again – I enjoyed your interview style…. Jacque, New Zealand.
